Pet Emergency Kits

It seems like the last few years have had many more natural disasters than normal. We often take steps to prepare for these events. We store water and canned food but we don't always think about our pets. I also store extra dog food (at least two weeks worth) and enough extra water for my pets. However, I only recently learned about the importance of having an emergency kit prepared in advance for your pets. These kits are important for people living in an natural disaster zone. Tennessee, for example, has many tornadoes and is also located in a major earthquake zone. The southern and eastern coastal areas are prime hurricane locations. And of course, California is another major earthquake zone. Every area has the potential for natural disasters. Plan ahead for your pet.
Here is a list of some important items to pack in your pet emergency kit.
