Who Am I?
Who am I?
This question I did ask.
"You are me. We are the world.
Therefore, there is no lack."
To think that we are separate
Is really an illusion.
Our spirits touch each other
For we are only One.
Like radiating spokes
Upon a giant wheel,
We are really all connected
In how we think and feel.
As tiny drops of water
Join in the cosmic sea
Our lives become connected.
How powerful we can be!
When we understand this
And feel connected deep inside,
The world becomes a safer place
As our hearts do open wide.
Loneliness
I seem to struggle with
Loneliness each day.
And when this door is open
Depression also comes my way.
I feel alone when
I can not hear a sound.
I even feel alone
When there are people all around.
Loneliness seems to be
The theme of my life.
It has been the main cause
Of my emotional strife.
I finally realized that if
I turned to God in prayer,
He could ease my loneliness
And all my other cares.
And as I begin to meditate
God revealed to me,
That there was a call upon my life
And different I must be.
I could not be
The same as my brother.
There are verses in my heart
That can be heard by no other.
As I now allow
My Spirit free reign,
My soul is lifted up
And I begin to feel no pain.
This happiness and joy
Can only be realized
When you follow God’s path
And you receive His final prize.
