To shorten the time it takes to receive your results, you can make your own saliva kit at home. Just go to a drug store and buy a box of cotton swabs. Make sure the stems are cardboard, not plastic. Take the swab and bend it in the middle. Swab both ends around your mouth and tongue. (Do not let anyone touch the swab but you. If you do, their DNA will show up on your test!) Place the swab inside an envelope. Do not write on the envelope. Ink will seep through and affect the quality of your result.

Now place this envelope inside another envelope which has already been addressed to me and drop it into the mail. This will save about one week. You should receive your results within 10 days. You can mail a check to me or click on the PayPal button on the saliva scan page.
