WEIGHT LOSS TIPS

Fat is the body’s natural energy reserve. A little fat is actually good for you. Too much fat indicates that the person has been eating too many acidic foods and/or foods with toxic ingredients. This type of fat is not healthy. Recent studies show that unhealthy fat contains acid or poison. Fat may be the body's way of keeping this poison away from vital organs. According to Dr. Robert Good, diets high in fat could also speed up shrinking of the thymus gland, which processes our immune cells. This helps explain another reason why being overweight is not healthy. The more excess weight you have, the more out of balance your body becomes. This makes it more difficult to lose the weight and easier to gain more.

Homeopathy is perhaps the easiest and best way to balance the body. Theoretically as the body balances the glands begin to heal and weight loss should occur. Unfortunately this is not always the case. If the client will not commit to eating an alkaline/acid balanced diet and makes other nutritionally sound choices, weight loss remains elusive. These toxins/poisons must be removed from the body slowly. If you continue to eat unhealthy foods you can not clear away the old toxins. We have developed a weight loss plan that includes homeopathy, nutritional counseling, emotional healing services, and herbal supplements. People who are not able to lose weight by participating in Weight Watchers, Atkins and other diet programs have been able to lose weight with our plan. It is truly a plan that aids in physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

***Before deciding to join our weight loss program please read the following tips. Some of them may help you in your weight loss quest. If you can't lose weight by following these ideas and principles then your body is seriously out of balance and work must be done on healing your organs and glands. Please check out our membership section. You must be a member to participate in our weight loss program and to enter the rest of the weight loss section.

1. When hungry, drink water first (1/2 hour before your meal). The body often mistakes thirst for hunger. Drink plenty of water, at least eight 8-ounces a day. Some experts believe you need to drink ½ your body weight in ounces a day. Our bodies are approximately 60% water. Being dehydrated slows your metabolism and decreases your body’s ability to burn calories by 2% a day. There are many other negative health effects associated with dehydration.

2. pH levels of the body need to be close to 80% alkaline and 20% acid. If this level is not maintained through healthy eating practices many adverse health problems occur. It is also a major reason people are overweight. An acid pH level triggers hunger because food is not digested well. If the nutrients don’t reach the body, it sends out hunger signals. For more information on the importance of pH levels click here.

3. Do not eat four hours before bedtime. This helps increase(HGH) or the human growth hormone. Studies have shown that injections of HGH help melt abdominal fat. This hormone is created by the pituitary gland. Unfortunately many people who are overweight have a pituitary gland that is not functioning properly. To check the health of your pituitary gland take our Health Check quiz. Click here and go to the bottom of the page.

4. Taking conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) may help lose abdominal fat.

5. Eat breakfast.

6. Reduce stress.Cortisol, which is a stress hormone, stimulates fat storage in the abdomen, increases appetite, and slows the body’s metabolic rate.

7. Learn to meditate. Studies show that meditation creates a relaxation effect and less stress hormones will be created. These stress hormones have been linked to abdominal fat.

8. Build muscle mass. Protein helps build muscle mass which boosts metabolism and burns more fat.

9. Get plenty of sleep. A study from Stanford University found that people who only slept 5 to 6 hours per night were an average of 6 to 8 pounds heavier than people getting at least 8 hours of sleep. Lack of sleep causes an increased amount of cortisol to be produced. Chronic sleep loss decreases levels of leptin, which is a hormone that makes you feel full and satisfied.

10. Too little calcium causes the body to produce calcitriol. This sends messages to fat cells telling them to store fat instead of burn it. However extra calcium should not be taken by everyone. As the body becomes more unbalanced it can lose its ability to absorb calcium. This creates excess calcium in other parts of the body. This can be seen as bone spurs, kidney stones, excess plaque on the teeth. Take our Health Chek quiz to see if your body is losing its ability to absorb calcium. Click here and go the bottom of the page.

11. A magnesium deficiency may also be a weight gain culprit. **Magnesium and calcium supplements should always be taken together.

12. Hard-boiled eggs make good snacks. (Soft-boiled eggs are alkaline, hard-boiled are acidic). Eggs speed up the liver’s metabolism of stored fat in belly and cellulite-prone areas.

13. Peppermint tea helps eliminate excess gases that bloat you.

14. Green tea increases thermogenesis which is the process by which your body burn calories. It is also a good antioxidant.

15. Cabbage soup is an excellent choice when following a liquid fast. Cabbage contains many nutrients that help support the liver during fasting. Please do not attempt liquid fasts without some expert advice.

16. Food allergies may be food sensitivities. Your body becomes sensitive to foods that are acid forming. These will be foods you eat often, you may even crave them.

17. 100% of women who have trouble losing weight actually have hormonal imbalances. Our plan helps balance all hormones in the body. (Great for PMS and menopause.)

18. 95% of people who lose weight will regain it because they do not work to balance the body while dieting.

19. You can cut 300 calories a day by burning 300 calories a day exercising. After only two days without exercise your body’s use of insulin can decrease. (I use the famous Gazelle. It is easy and quiet and I can use it while watching my favorite tv shows.)

20. Chew each bit of food 30 times or until it is liquid in your mouth. Your saliva is alkaline and works to reduce the acidity of the food in your mouth.

21. Some studies show that smelling pomegranate boosts metabolism by 20%.

22. Good foods are those which come from a seed. They have true energy.
